About this recipe
A high contract and punchy recipe for Fujifilm Cameras that creates some dramatic images. This recipe is inspired by Steven McCurry black and white images which we were lucky enough to see in an exhibition in Lyon, France several years ago. The depth and mystery these images created were behind creation of this film simulation recipe.
The deep blacks make you wonder and explore what is hidden in the darkness and the lighter areas provide some relief as you can explore the details. The images are not under exposed by much, with only -1/3 or -2/3 of a stop.
You may further emphasise the film grain effect by setting it to Strong, rather than Weak. Additionally playing with Monochromatic Color setting will add a little silver tint to the image using WC -1 · MG +1, by default these are set to 0.
